HON. ADEGEYE BAGS EXCELLENCE AWARD [PHOTOS]

…..PROMISED TO PRESERVE & PROMOTE YORUBA CULTURE

The former lawmaker of Lagos State House of Assembly and an aspirant for Federal House of Representatives, Amuwo Odofin local government area was presented with an award by the Yoruba Youth Socio-Cultural Association (Y.Y.S.A), at the local government secretariat, Festac Town, Lagos.

Olalekan Hammed while presenting the award to Hon. Adegeye at the Council Secretariat, Festac Town noted that, ” The aspirant is being awarded for her relentless contributions towards Youth Development, Preservation and Projection of Yoruba Culture and Nation Building”.

Speaking further, the Secretary of the Advisory Council of the Association, Comrade Tijani Saheed Oluwadare opined that the awardee deserved the award for her immense contribution to youths empowerment in the local government area.

” We have been monitoring her contributions to the development of humanity since her days at the Lagos State House of Assembly.”

The Executive Chairman congratulated the awardee, stressing that ” she needs to continue with her humanitarian works because her good deeds would speak for her and this is part of the result.”

Hon. Adegeye on her part thanked the Association for giving her such a noble award and for preserving Yoruba culture and heritage

The House of Representatives aspirant further thanked the Executive Chairman for providing the enabling environment for people like her to continue her good deeds in the community.

She promised not to rest on her oars, as she continues to assist and contribute her own quota to the development of the local government area.

The aspirant further averred that she would continue to preserve the Yoruba culture always.

She said: “The challenge before all of us present here is to ensure that we take our culture to the point where other clans would respect us for who we are and not what we have been made to become”.
