Frank Ocean Resolves Legal Battle With Travis Scott [DETAILS]

UPDATE – September 18, 2018: Frank Ocean has taken to Tumblr to clear the air on the reported beef

writing “I ALSO APPROVED IT BEFORE IT CAME OUT SO THE CEASE AND DESIST WASN’T ABOUT 🔊 IT WAS ABOUT.🏳️‍🌈 ME AND TRAVIS RESOLVED IT AMONGST OURSELVES WEEKS AGO.” While Ocean’s quote including emojis doesn’t explain the entire situation, it seems clear that the feud has now been resolved. Head to Tumblr to read the post.

Original article below.

A lawyer representing Frank Ocean has reportedly sent a cease and desist letter to Travis Scott over the use of his vocals on Astroworld. According to TMZ, Ocean has asked for his contributions on “Carousel” to be removed.

Sources close to TMZ claim that Ocean was not happy with the way his vocals were altered for the final production. While it’s uncertain what the exact discrepancy is, “Carousel” sees Ocean’s vocals — which appear in the chorus and third verse — slightly pitched with traces of auto-tune.

Prior to this report, Scott was also asked to remaster NAV’s vocals on the track “Yosemite” after fans argued he was too quiet.

TMZ also writes that Scott’s team have yet to respond to the legal request.

Highsnobiety approached representatives for Travis Scott, who declined to comment. We also reached out to a representative for Frank Ocean who was not immediately available.

Stay tuned for more updates.
