The official disc jockey of Mavin Records, DJ BigN in a chat with Sunday Scoop has said what had been reported so far was untrue.
He stated, “Those reports are untrue and people are yet to read my own side of the story. I plan to put out a press statement and when I do that, you will be the first to know. I know everyone has read different reports, but they need to hear my side too. I plan to tell my own story next week after I have sorted out my concert.”
The DJ, who held a concert in Surulere, Lagos, recently, said he couldn’t have held it anywhere but the area. He said, “Surulere was where I was born and I lived there before I travelled out of the country. It was just right for me to represent where I am from. I was satisfied with the outcome of the show.”
Recall that video of the incident went viral on the Internet. it is reported that the incident took place on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at a popular nightclub in Lagos.
According to eyewitnesses, trouble started when a fight broke out between BigN’s friend and another guy. It was gathered that singer Dr Sid came around to settle the fight, but was unable to.
And as the fight continued, BigN was alleged to have gone into the white vehicle in the video and brought out a pump action rifle. It was further alleged that he fired some shots into the air.
The chaos drew the attention of some policemen who stormed the scene and engaged the DJ in a struggle until the gun was retrieved from him. It was gathered that they later whisked him away after the confrontation.
